Jenna-Louise Coleman is a popular British actor, well known for her role as Clara Oswald in the television series Doctor Who. As a child, she began to act in Yer Space theatre, and participated in Crystal Clear, a play in the Edinburgh Festival. Coleman received an award for her outstanding performance in the show. Coleman received her first major break when she landed the role as Jasmine Thomas in the soap opera Emmerdale from 2005. She continued appearing in the show until its end in 2009. The role she played as Jasmine Thomas earned her a nomination for Most Popular Young Actress at the National Television Awards in 2006. Coleman first appeared in a film as Connie (Captain America: The First Avenger) in 2011. Her biggest opportunity to show off her talents when it came to acting when she stepped into the role of the former British queen, Queen Victoria, in ITV's Victoria. Coleman was portrayed as a Lindsay James-like schoolgirl called Lindsay, in BBC the drama Waterloo Road up to playing an Empress in Victoria. Coleman has definitely made a huge leap in her career.
