Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress that appears mainly in Tamil as well as Telugu film, as well as to a few Malayalam films. The actress was honoured with an award called the National Film Award as Best Actress in the year 2018 in the role of actress Savitri, who appeared in the Telugu movie Mahanati. Other awards she has won include three SIIMA Awards, a Filmfare Award South as well as three SIIMA Awards. Keerthy has the father of filmmaker G. Suresh Kumar and actor Menaka G. Suresh. Her professional career started in the early 2000s, as a young actor. She returned to the film industry following her study of the field of fashion. Her debut lead part in the 2013 Malayalam film Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy took on her very first Malayalam projects, and then began working with Tamil at the same time. She released her first film, A. L. Vijay's romance comedy Idhu Enna Maayam, in 2015 alongside Vikram Prbhu. The film was not successful at the box-office. Because of her hectic schedule for 2015, she was forced to withdraw from films on which she was already working, like Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye or Deekay's Kavalaivendam. The actress was in two films that came out in quick succession, alongside Sivakarthikeyan, Rajini Murugan & Remo. Dhanush was also one of the main actors on Prabhu's Thodari. The movie's release was postponed in 2015 and now is expected to be after September 2020. The film will be released under an entirely different name Janakitho Nenu. Subsequently, the debut was the 2016 film Nenu Sailaja with the actor Ram Pothineni. Keerthy was first seen with Bairavaa (directed by Bharathan) with actor Vijay. Keerthy has also appeared as a Tamil actor in the film Paambhu Saattai and as she was a Telugu actor on Nenu Local.
