Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and composer. The singer combines soul gospel jazz with R&B for a distinctive blend. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine's given the name of Denise White. Although she's located in Atlanta however, her ancestors are in Chester Pennsylvania. There she started to grow as an artist by playing the piano and singing in church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on Atlanta's R&B culture. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals Stalk You an House, was released only in Japan. It has had numerous remixes and it's a major part of her live shows. Her voice was also added to the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she was commissioned as the keyboardist principal for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy as well as Tony Awards-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out to be the director of choral for the stage production of Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine gained national recognition through her performances on four consecutive days in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform during President Obama's 2008 inaugural.
